So I’ve been catching up on the Office lately, and by that – I mean I’m hardcore binging on watching all the seasons from the beginning on Netflix. Why do we all do that now? I hate that it’s available because it’s like a compulsion! But seriously, I KNOW we all do that now so I don’t feel bad, but it still irks me. The point, however is that I THINK that these cupcakes were placed subconsciously into my brain! Check it out!
I mean, if I really have to think about it, I guess the chocolate-chip-cookie-dough isn’t the most unique of ideas, I’ve already made it for crying out loud. BUT it was a while ago, and taken on my old droid camera and my “beginning blogger” days.
Same recipe, you can check it out after the jump, but new photos! So perfectly great excuse for a blog post! I promise promise new recipes coming at you so fast… next week!
You guys KNOW how much I LOVE baking but it’s only so easy to go outside in this gorgeous weather, have lunch in the park, get some coffee or (as most people, ESPECIALLY Kyle, but DEFINITELY not me) enjoy a pumpkin spice latte, or my personal favorite, wine tasting. So it’s been only a little bit of a struggle for me to find myself in the kitchen these days.
Happy Fall! IT’S OCTOBER!
Cookie Dough Frosting:
- 2 sticks unsalted butter (1 cup) softened to room temperature; separated
- 1 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 1/2 cups of flour
- 2 tsp of vanilla extract
- 1 tsp of salt
- 8 Tbsp milk
- 1/2 bag mini chocolate chips
Put butter and light brown sugar in a mixer with the paddle attachment and cream. Add vanilla and beat well. Add flour and salt and beat until doughy. Fold in chocolate chips. Try not to eat the entirety of it before it makes it to the cupcakes!
